Evaluation of the Article and Communication of Results

Articles first undergo an admissibility reading by the editorial board, examining compliance with the journal’s formal requirements. Following this first reading, the editorial committee may reject the article if it does not meet the formal requirements of the journal;

When it is not rejected by the editorial committee, it is assigned to the assessment of three qualified evaluators. The evaluation is done anonymously. Three opinions are possible:

  1. authorized publication,
  2. publication accepted subject to the required corrections being made,
  3. publication not recommended.

the majority opinion determines the procedure for communicating the results to the author

  • if two opinions are favorable to publication (A), the publisher makes a summary which he sends to the author;
  • if two opinions express reservations (B), the anonymous files are sent to the author by the publisher. After correction, the article is resubmitted to the same experts (if possible);

Exclusivity and Responsibilities of the Author

The author must reserve the exclusivity of his article for the journal until receipt of the results of the expertise. In the event that this is unfavorable, the author is released from any contract with the journal unless he decides to improve his article and submit it again for a second assessment. He can no longer freely dispose of his article if it has been analyzed and corrected by experts who have formulated, in detail, recommendations for its improvement. Scenario B;

The author can no longer freely dispose of his article if it, retained for publication, has benefited from the intervention of the editorial committee for its formatting and conformity. He cannot propose an article which has already been published, except in its revised form. In this case, it is required to specify by a note at the bottom of the first page, the references of the previous publication and the reasons for the new version;

The author remains solely responsible for the content of his article even after its publication in the journal. It must ultimately validate the version to be published. The author must also, before publication, sign a declaration of originality and assignment of reproduction rights, in accordance with the creative commons license CC-BY-SA 4.0. This license allows others to modify, adapt and share the material for any use, including commercial use, provided that credit is given to the creator and any adaptation is shared under identical conditions.
